Formatting

To submit a communication, the authors must send an abstract by e-mail, to simposios@riscos.pt, mentioning the Panel in which it should be integrated and the preferred form of presentation (oral or poster).

The abstracts must be submitted in digital format (Word), cover at most, an A4 page and should not exceed 3000 characters (with spaces), including title communication in capitals, author name(s), institution(s), e-mail contact(s), keywords (maximum of 5), and reference to the panel where the abstract should be included and the type of comunicatiomn (oral or poster).

Abstract body in Adobe Garamond or Adobe Garamond Pro, size 8, justified and line spacing of exactly 9.6 pt and with paragraph spacing of 6 pt afterwards, there will be no opening paragraphs.

Official languages of the event

Contributions are received from anywhere in the world, in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
There will be no simultaneous translation.

Oral communications – Maximum of 5 authors

Guidelines:

  • In the abstracts bibliographical references are not allowed, since the abstracts do not include a section of the Bibliography so that the complete references can be indicated;
  • The first time you use  acronyms (capital letters and no dots between letters) you must add its full description (meaning);
  • Words that are not in the language of the article should be placed in italic.

The abstracts must have paragraphs, not be an entire “block” of text, to make it easier to read. As an example, we can indicate that, generically, the paragraphs could correspond to:

  • An introduction, explaining the relevance of the study and its objectives;
  • A description / location of the area under study;The methodology used (types and sources of data;
  • Presentation / discussion of the results obtained.

The information about the authors have four lines: the first is for the Name and the last for the email. The two central ones are for the Affiliation (2nd line) and Entity of Belonging and Country (3rd line):

In the Affiliation / Entity of Belonging it is not allowed the indication of Positions, such as Director, Coordinator, President, or of titles as Prof. Doctor, Colonel, Eng., Or students attending Master, Doctorate, etc.

Exceptionally, some authors, in order to be able to receive financial support to participate in the Congress, need to put specific information (for example: Project Scholarship …; Scholarship of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES); Graduations …; Master’s / Doctorate Course …); Scholarship holder of the Graduate Program in …. In such cases, this reference should be placed in the 2nd line, the third being reserved for the University and the Country, and this justification must be communicated to us.

The official languages of the congress are Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.

The acceptance of the communication and type of presentation will depend on the evaluation of the abstract made by the Scientific Committee.
